Pinpointing with the MXT?

I know that this is a very old post but for those that may be considering getting an MXT, beware that the pinpointing on this machine with the stock 950 coil is just awesome. There seems to be a big difference on how it pinpoints compared to the XLT. If you find a target with the XLT and pinpoint it will have a tendancy to fade a little the more times you do it however the MXT will blast it in your ear and continue to do so when you get right over top of it no matter what depth (up to at least 8"). This unit seems to go deeper than my XLT with a stronger signal at those depths. A couple times I thought it was lying to me only to find a small .22 bullet or a brass shoe eyelet. All three of these items were smaller than the head of pencil eraser and were at about the 8"+ depth. So if your considering a user friendly unit with some depth to it you might be surprised with the results of this machine. I was. (y)

Brenda, you use the Whites MXT don't you? What do you think of this detector? I have been looking at this for quite some time now and Whites is having a big sale going on thru Oct. I believe with a $ 100.00 off MSRP on selected MD's and the MXT being one of these. I have my AT PRO for sale listed here in the classifieds and on Craigslist. I would love to try the MXT PRO out pending the sale of my AT PRO. I have been watching a lot of video's on Utube and I've been reading a lot of reviews on the different forums. I have read very few negative reviews on the MXT. Most everything I've read and heard is that this MD is dead on. I would primarily be hunting relics, but I heard it is great for relics, coins & jewelry and also prospecting. The MXT has been around for awhile and seems to be both proven and a very capable MD.
