I got certified NAUI Advanced back in '78 when I was in the Oceanographic Explorers at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. My instructor was NAUI number 2 -pretty famous in the diving circles. I later went on to being a DiveMaster on multi day trips out of San Diego.

I never worry about the water temperature - I have a DUI CF200, so I always dive dry - unless I'm freediving that is...

Cool thing is, since I'm Scripps certified I can dive on any of their research trips, and also in the kelp tank at the Birch aquarium.

I never knew this sub forum was here. Been here two years and still finding stuff on TQ.
I have been certified since 1985 and still dive as much as possible.

I dive here in Egypt, also use an excaliber . Have you tried turning the auto sensitivity off and manually adjusting until you get it stable ? I find that usually works and doesn't noticeably affect response to good targets like rings . HTH

Hi yall,

I dive a little, prefer beach dives or caves, cause I dont do so well on boats  But ill ride one if i have to... would love to get a hookah, but would probably buy a rebreather first... I havent been down since my dive computer conked out on me last summer, (at 90' in a cave ), gotta get that baby fixed!

Looking forward to diving with a MD in the future... sounds like a lot of fun!!!!
